back from David's birth,
March 10, 2019
(I'll spare you the nitty gritty details).

David was the sweetest of babies, a familiar face at birth & adored by us all from his first breath.
Number 4 was my best labour & hardest delivery ~ in the end very thankful to have another safe delivery at the Nipawin hospital. Was well cared for by our community on this - my neighbour Lindsay Elford took the kids for us while we were at the hospital, another neighbour Amanda Barber provided excellent doula services, & Aimee Hutch blessed me in so many ways during this time, including a cinnamon bun delivery at the hospital. Special credit to my sister Destiny, who flew out for a such a lovely visit just a day or two shy of David's arrival.

I loved my breakfast deliveries.
We also enjoyed our full two nights stay before heading back home.

I thought of Psalm 23 after David was born...

the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside quiet waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I will fear no evil
for you are with me
your rod & your staff - they comfort me
you prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness & mercy shall follow me all the days of my life
& I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Home!
