Tobin Lake

We headed out to Tobin Lake yesterday to check it out (we'd heard there's good ice cream) ;)

and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was! Only because we haven't heard awesome things about it's beach area - it's well known as a fishing spot. But it was awesome! Nice soft sand and shallow for quite a ways - perfect for Asher to wander around in. It was also a gorgeous afternoon/evening, not too hot and the water was a very comfortable temperature, and would you believe I didn't see a single bug??! We played in the water and had a little picnic before heading home. Tobin is only a half hour drive from our place and we will definitely be going back!

There is a bit of a slope getting down to the beach as you can see behind Asher here...

This little guy quite enjoyed himself, too.
