the raspberries

It's been my lifelong dream to have berries for the picking in my own backyard... & the dream has officially come true! This is the third summer for our raspberry bushes which we originally planted as one little baby stick in the garden - now if we aren't careful the whole garden will soon be a raspberry plot! & would you believe we have a Thornless variety?? Not one single thorn to be seen! Anyways, I needn't have worried about missing out on raspberries while we were away - father & I have done several pickings already...

It gladdens my heart...
