More Canning!
i wanted to title this chapter 'les pommes de terre' - apples of the earth - which i did, but in this case Tomatoes, not Potatoes.. though perhaps the meaning still rings true. below, a Beautiful Box of Tomatoes!

yearly re-reads for me & if you have not read them i would highly recommend if you are at all interested in food-stuffs. i used a sauce recipe from barbara's book for this canning project.
this is one of my sad little tomato plants from this year - i will do better in the next - isn't it nice we can go to the little New Apple Market for projects such as these?

ingredients:
results: required a lot less tomatoes than anticipated.. tasty sauce for seven full jars. in between batches, leisure on the porch..
Other news: a new camera to shoot with! an upgrade to a nikon D90! with an automatic 50mm.
thanks again to my brother for his on lend & who but my thoughtful doting husband for the camera! above is a photo he took of one of my favourite tomato concoctions.
i also managed to make a few more Baby dills as my pickles turned out That Good.
