date night in Steveston-town
on thee latest Joel & Danry Date-Night Venture, we took the scenic route along SW Marine Drive to Richmond & the little corner of Steveston - a quaint, historic fishing village. we were prompted to go i think by hearing of the boat launch for the salmon run.. we missed the launch, but there are plenty of boats in the harbour. admittedly, i'd never heard of steveston before joel took me.. oops. however, it's awesome - as far as sweet-find shops, leisurely walks & tasty dinners go. we'd made a summer expectation of ourselves to go for fish & chips at Least once - am glad we made good on that as we had the Best Fish & Chips (i've) ever had.. fresh & white & flaky delicious. also learned i prefer Cod over Halibut (as i can never seem to remember the difference). enjoyed a walk along the wharf & seeing the lodges / buildings that remain from the old canning days. so if you go to steveston, enjoy a walk, check it out & i would recommend you stop at Pajo's on the water for
fish-&-chips!
Lastly, Happy First of September!
Thee Beginning of the End of Summer
(but not in a bad way).
