As the youngest I would say he's the most advanced of the kids at this age, learning from the others. He is the fastest pooper in the family & has the most toots. (Just saying). He loves playing with Dad & asks everyday how much longer til Daddy's home. A lot of time questions... in the van, "how much more minutes?" & "how many more sleeps?" In the morning whispering, "is it time to wake up?" He's developed a very lengthy goodbye with us when we leave which involves multiple hugs, smooches, waves & hand signing I love you, "hope you have a good day! See you later alligator!" etc. When it's sharing the 'win of the day' at supper, supper is always one of the wins. (I'll take it). He doesn't have a close friend his own age but plays very well with the neighbours, kids friends, & gets on really well with Layla, one year younger than him. We like to go to the play gym with friends & he enjoys going to moms & tots. He also enjoys the library, (mostly to hit up the computer games), but new books are great too. He's a bit of a night owl, & recently moved into his own room, tho he still likes to come in for a snuggle sometimes.
David has a combination of a go-with-the-flow mentality, as well as being a bit of a stick-in-the-mud. If I'm ever at a loss it's Edie who can charm him back. I appreciate that he's a rule follower & will generally check with me before commencing.
You're my sweet boy, Davie.
I'll take your snuggles & your supper wins as long as I can.
I love you so much.
coffee date with mom & dad
to Joel... "I dare you to wake up before me & make me breakfast in bed. I dare you."
"I like making things."
I'm so glad these two boys have each other.
"What do I want to be?"
"A dinosaur?"
"No. I want to be a baby again. I like to be tiny like a baby."
"The moon is sleeping."
riding a bike pretty easy-peasy...
the curb phase... needing to re-start if he fell off.
Bups, Ashley, James & Jordan
practicing some typing
getting a kick out of the egg whites
Doing lego downstairs for some time, then came up & plopped this in front of me: "this is you in three days." (An expression that had its own phase).
Most recently ~ at his work station, typing out Elephant & Piggie books.
He will type out as much as he can without making a mistake. Capitals & punctuation included.
