Moms & Tots

We had our last week of our Moms & Tots group here before summer break... I have been so blessed by the women who are a part of it. Admittedly I still don't know everyone there, but it is a lovely part of our weekly routine in which Asher gets some playtime with other kids & I get a little bit of breathing room & a chance to glean from other Moms. It's completely run by volunteers; it's not put on by a church or organization, just other busy moms who put a little of their heart & soul into making it happen. Which is no small feat! I think what has blessed & challenged me most is to see the leadership team willingly give, & give, & give, & give some more - of their time, their resources, of themselves. It's completely humbling to watch them week after week, giving food donations & hot meals to moms with newborns, helping with the childcare when needed (as there is a constant shortage of volunteers!) helping with setup & cleanup, putting on sales & giving proceeds to families in need.... etc etc! One of the last weeks was Spa Day & I watched these women - who have worked so tirelessly - literally get on their knees & wash other women's feet. Mine included.

I am in awe of what these women accomplish, the willingness with which they continually serve & serve, & what God is doing through them to reach out to other moms in Nipawin.

I have been challenged, blessed, & am looking forward to being a part of the group again next year.
