Asher's Story

Our baby boy is here!

Little Asher Bird was eight days early - 

born on November 20th at 4:30pm in our home,

weighing 6lbs.

I had the best support throughout labour; Joel, and eventually Kim, our doula.

When our midwife Jane came at 3:00pm and checked me, we were 10cm and ready to go. Asher was born an hour and a half later. We couldn't have asked for a better birth scenario, everything went so smoothly.

Grandpa Houston's reading for that morning was incidentally Isaiah 9:6,

"for unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given."
