embracing winter

One of my goals this year is to embrace the season of winter.

Scandinavians have a saying that there's no bad weather, only bad clothing. Which is very true, in a sense. Perhaps I've shied away from the cold as I've been improperly dressed. So to start I've purchased myself a pair of snowboots. Already handy & warm. Secondly, it's skiing season! & Hemlock has free ladies day on Thursdays. Yay!

Dessy took a day off from children to go up with me - we don't remember the last time we've skied together so it was much overdo. Here we are:

it wasn't the greatest of conditions, with the slightest skiff of snow to keep us going - but perhaps not as bad as the sign would suggest!
