Table pour Deux
another foodie post! it seems i never tire of making a good ol' recipe - or trying a new one. in addition to our previous & wonderful family thanksgiving, i'd wanted to have a more personal one as well. (because i feel that grateful, because i want to acknowledge the coming & going of the seasons, because there are so many delicious fall recipes)! in my mind we also set up an outdoor table with candles etc, but that wasn't very realistic in the cold. also our company, alas, couldn't make it in the end - so joel & i had our own Autumn Apple Feast, (a little meagre for a "feast," but you know what i mean). perhaps i should mention we'd also been looking forward to making a certain 100-mile sangria, as an exception to observing a sans-alcohol month - another cause for a Dinner!

your post makes me cry...literally...I can't believe we missed your 'thanksgiving feast' due to unforseen circumstances. Your table set with delicious food looks amazing! If a second thanksgiving occasion should arise, we'd be more than happy to attend.
